Look beyond the green number.

A green number can tell you that a crypto asset has risen. The next question is whether the move has enough strength and supporting evidence to deserve a closer look.
TradingEdgeIQ Crypto Intelligence brings those questions into a single research workflow. Two dated examples show why the timeframe, the score and the conditions behind an action label belong together.
One asset can give two different readings
In TEIQ’s September 13 snapshot, Sentient (SENT) showed a 0.47% gain over 15 minutes and a 0.40% decline over one hour.
Both readings can be true. The shorter window describes the most recent part of the move. The longer window includes more of what happened around it. A short bounce can occur while the asset remains below its price an hour earlier.
| Asset | 15-minute change | One-hour change | Product action |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sentient · SENT | +0.47% | −0.40% | WAIT |
| Onyxcoin · XCN | +0.36% | +0.17% | WAIT |
Example timestamp: September 13, 2026, 06:32 UTC. These figures come from a TEIQ public snapshot identified as 15 minutes delayed. They are historical examples, not live prices. The two return windows overlap; they should not be added together.

For an investor, the useful question is whether the recent improvement is becoming more consistent. Comparing a short window with the hourly and daily chart can help put that improvement in context. It cannot establish in advance that a bottom or a lasting trend has formed.
Why a score of 75 can still sit beside WAIT
SENT’s composite screener score rounded to 75. Its action label was WAIT because the short-term move was losing speed.
The score and action answer different questions:
- The score helps focus attention. Crypto Race combines information about momentum, entry quality, trend quality, confirmation and screening conditions into a relative ranking.
- The action adds the conditions. An asset can rank prominently while some requirements for the current setup remain unmet.
That makes the combination useful. It gives a researcher something specific to monitor: whether the conditions improve as the asset remains on the shortlist. A score of 75 is not a 75% chance of making money.

Two positive windows still need context
Onyxcoin (XCN) was positive over both windows: 0.36% over 15 minutes and 0.17% over one hour. Yet it also carried a WAIT label. Its entry setup still needed to improve, and its short-term move was losing speed.
This is why comparing green numbers alone can miss part of the picture. Agreement between two windows adds information, but it does not answer every question about timing, tradeability or the strength of the setup.
Neither example is presented as a recommendation to buy or sell. The useful output is a better research question: what would need to change before this candidate deserves more attention?
Three questions to ask about a crypto move
Momentum: Is the move gaining or losing strength?
Look at the direction and pace across timeframes. A move that has just appeared is different from one that has continued to improve. A positive percentage can coexist with fading speed.
Liquidity: Can it be traded without a large price impact?
A displayed price does not explain how easily an order could be executed. Trading activity, the difference between buying and selling prices, and available order depth can matter. This example does not provide a measured liquidity assessment for either asset.
Confirmation: Do other signals support the move?
Compare the immediate move with its surrounding trend and the other conditions in the product. When the evidence is mixed, knowing what is missing can be more useful than treating the ranking as a complete answer.
These are practical lenses for using TradingEdgeIQ Crypto Intelligence. They turn a list of movers into a more focused research process.

Start with a shortlist, then investigate
Open Crypto Race to see how assets rank in the current product view. Check when the data was updated and whether the view is delayed. Choose a candidate, compare its timeframes, and read the conditions alongside its score.
The takeaway is simple: use the move to find a question worth investigating, then use the evidence to improve your judgment.
